The Primrose Bank
The primrose bank depicted here is near to where my late mother used to live in North Yorkshire. Although completed late last year, I sketched and thought out the painting in May 2016, the last time I visited her, as she died in the June. For this reason this picture holds a strong emotional attachment for me.
A green woodpecker makes his way up the bank. the top of which sits a hare. Hidden amongst the grass, a robin broods her newly hatched chicks.
